The bus was dirty, they have not cleaned it from the trip before. A quintessential component to this multi-faceted jamboree, traditional Thai massage is perhaps the most well-known and celebrated of Bangkok's pampering services.
Varying amounts of pressure are applied to energy lines or 'Sen' along the body in accordance with the Ayurvedic principles of balancing one's energy. I would absolutely recommend lomprayah as I had a trouble free journey with them.
Thai Massage in Bangkok - Accommodation is available at both locations although the hillside site is much newer and its bungalows are a higher quality than those on the beach.
Well I can safely say this is the best way to travel down to the islands! Great value first of all. We were given our tickets for the ferry and stickers to designate our seat on the bus. The bus was spacious, clean and best of all had reclining chairs! After 6 and a half hours we arrived at Chumphon and headed to the check in for the ferry. We only had to wait half an hour to get on the catamaran, and when we boarded our luggage was stowed at the front. Again the ferry was spacious and fairly comfortable. The journey went well and took us two hours to get to Koh Tao. I would absolutely recommend lomprayah as I had a trouble free journey with them. This review is a bit late but well deserved. I have used this company twice travelling two years apart to Kao Samui. First there is a long bus trip followed by an extremely short bus trip then you are rushed onto the catamaran- and I now know why. On the second short bus trip they wait until the very last minute to get u to the ferry so u don't have time to examine your bag and see it has been tampered with. I was aware of this after my previous experience so i took it upon myself to warn everyone before we got on the bus. We all put security stickers on ours bags. Even though i had warned people, they were still shocked-and really angry! They ended up dumping the rest of the bags onto the road and drove off so fast they nearly knocked over one of there own staff!! Lomprayah was recommended to me by expats living in Bangkok. I had booked the night bus from Rambuttri in the Kao San area, and checking in was a smooth operation. There were two buses leaving that night, and I got probably the best seat on the bus, after smiling at the lad allocating the seats and asking to give the elderly consideration, downstairs, where there are only four seats. But all in all, a really comfortable bus, wherever you sit. We arrived at Chumphon very early, so we had a 2 hour wait before we boarded the ferry, but again, very organized. We were given different colour stickers for our island destination, and once we arrived at Koh Tao our luggage was on the pier for collection. So, all in all, I have only good things to say about Lomprayah service!! I came yesterday from Bangkok to Koh Tao with Lomprayah. First I took the bus from Bangkok to Chumpon. Not really a good service. The bus was dirty, they have not cleaned it from the trip before. The toilet smell terrible and the bin was overflowed from the previous trip. Conditioned air at maximum capacity and the exit slits broken, so you can not control the amount of air.... Second part of the trip Catamaran it was ok. Having had several helpful email messages from the Customer Services Department, here's some information on how to find the Ferry company offices specifically from Suvarnabhumi Airport. There are rail links operating from 0600 to midnight from the Airport which take you downtown to Phaya Thai station. The staff is so friendly and David beer and nelly went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time by answering all our questions, showings us the best snorkeling spots, restaurants, and making sure the catamaran didn't leave without us!! The staff and company really do care about their customers!! We choose to uses Lomprayah services to go from Bangkok - Ko Tao , Ko Tao - Ko Samui than Ko Samui - Bangkok. We bought tickets over internet and everything was ok. There was a little problem on the first rout. From Bangkok were 2 buses leaving from the station and than after half an hour we stopped and moved in the other one without any explication. They were not able to say anything in English. At the pier in Chumpon they are announcing what to do. The Catamaran is very fast and in good condition. It was very crowded in this period. For the other route from hotel to pier we booked when we bought the tickets over internet, we confirmed again the day before and everything was ok. The time for traveling is quit long but if you chose this way is ok. On the way back to Bangkok it was a half hour stop to eat something. I think is a monopoly didn't see other option to use. I left booking of our tickets to almost the last minute as I was sceptical of using their services after reading mostly bed reviews. However, since deciding that it was the cheapest, albeit not the fastest way of getting to Hua Hin we were left with no other option. However, nearly all was really good. Our free transport by Lomprayah from the hotel to the pier arrived late, however our hotel porter said this is always the case. It was a bit of a mess finding the right queue to check-in, but once in the correct line, with all the stickers attached, tickets in our hands, we were allowed to proceed. Our suitcases were put onto the boat for us, they were in our view, inside the boat, all the time, so I was not worried of someone breaking into them. The boat itself seemed in a very good, new condition. We spend 4 hours on the boat and the journey was seamless. It took a while to disembark as people had to carry their own luggage from inside the boat, which caused a bit of a squeeze and delay, and my suitcase ended up being a bit destroyed. However, once you equip yourself with some patience and food all should be good. I would definitely use them again. Later the connecting trip by bus was also very good, although took longer than advertised which I later was told is a norm. We arrived at the pier well before 9am. Infuriating, but as fairly honest people we knew that if we tried the same despite 9:30 closing in rapidly we'd end up at the back of the queue somehow. Luckily, and I use that word loosely, our boat was delayed, so we joined the other huge queue to actually get on the boat. The boat boarded at a fairly reasonable 10am, half hour delay could be worse I guess! The instructions just made no sense, and I ended up carrying our 2 suitcases no help from the staff - they seem to just help occasionally when they feel like it on to the back of the boat, only to walk it back down the inside to the front of the boat. All the while other peoples' bags were being thrown directly on to the front. I was a bit perplexed by this, but the worst part is this meant our bags were the very last to be unloaded. My rant will most likely make little sense by this stage, but I hope the tone shows just how frustrating this company was to deal with. Despite images Lomprayah seems to have a slightly better image than rivals Seatran , I would definitely recommend Seatran instead.
